This blog is published by the students in UC Irvine’s Asian American Studies 115 Media and Art course. This course looks at Asian American history and society through visual art, film, and pop culture. Through these media forms, we will examine the diversity of Asian Pacific American identities and identifications in both the United States and in the diaspora; gender and sexuality; pervasive stereotypes; family; ethnic and interethnic communities; migration and labor; and anti-Asianism.
